I write to you from a place of sadness today to tell you that -
due to personal circumstances - I will no longer be involved with the shop.
It is my understanding that Cindi is going to maintain the shop. Questions about shop hours, products, and events should be directed to her at 937-526-3885.
I've enjoyed every minute of the past several months and hope to be sitting and knitting with you soon only it will be in a different setting!

The end of the quarter is near and I have a big project due so I won’t be at the shop Monday November 23rd.

Shop Hours for 11/6 and 11/7
Cynthia will be closing the shop today at 3pm

The shop will be closed tomorrow - Saturday, November 7th

So sorry but I need to cancel our Sit n' Knit tomorrow evening.
I've been sick (sinus infection) and won't be at the shop Monday.
Cindi will be there for regular shop hours 10 to 5.

At noon, Monday September 21, the Versailles Chamber of Commerce welcomes My Sister’s Whimsy to the Versailles business community with a ribbon cutting.
To celebrate our “official” opening, we will be giving away some great door prizes.
- Cascade sent us 10 skeins of their new Lana Doro (1062 colorway) to give away! (2190 yards of fiber-y goodness!)
- A skein of Destination Yarn's fingering weight yarn in our exclusive Annie Oakley colorway.
- A "Knitpicker" canvas bag designed by the Knitpicking Chick.
- A hand-pieced, hand-quilted doll quilt by Mae Clear (our Mom!)
To be eligible to win all you need to do is visit the shop between September 21 and October 3 and put your name into the drawing.
One entry per person. You do not have to be present to win.
The drawing for door prizes will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, October 3, 2009.

Downtown Versailles’ Harvest Day
Saturday October 3 – 8am to Noon
This will be a morning of fun, free, family activities on Fountain Square including a treat walk through the area businesses, the final and largest Farmers Market of the season, along with sidewalk sales and an old favorite pie-baking contest.
This would be a great morning to visit the shop and take part in all the downtown fun!
We hope you’ll come in and celebrate with us.

Yes...We Give Lessons!
Meet Natalie, who is learning to knit.
Natalie is 7-years old. She's working on her very first scarf
and doing a GREAT job!

has been bringing her to the shop the past few Monday
evenings where we sit and knit for about an hour.
Natalie is mastering the knit stitch and
also throwing in a row of purl stitch here and there.
She says she likes doing the knit stitch best...
...I can relate to that, can't you?

Friday's Sit 'n Knit
...was a success!

I didn't take these pics until after two knitters left, and I didn't catch Kristi who was sitting by the front door. As you can see, if was a full house. (Of course - the size of the shop makes that easier to achieve.)

New Stuff!
Last Monday, the very sweet and talented Kat, of Paper and Yarn, came to the shop toting her wares. I had connected with her through Ravelry and it was a treat to get to meet her in person.
She left some really fun stuff for the shop...
- one of a kind skeins of hand-spun and hand-dyed yarn (including sock yarn!)

- hand-sewn mini notebooks-great for keeping in your knitting bag
